Education
Quality education is a priority in Tracy. New schools are being built as the community grows. Some are magnet schools, specializing in music education, science and engineering, and ag sciences. GATE or Gifted and Talented Education is also available for students that qualify. The Tracy Learning Center is a partnership between the Tracy Unified School District and San Joaquin Delta College. It offers the convenience for continuing education for Associate Degrees. The Tracy Adult School also offers a variety of classes.
Tracy is also close to several four-year universities, such as the University of Phoenix and University of the Pacific. Several trade and technical schools are also nearby.
The Chamber operates the Hire Me First Program. This school-to-career program is one of the best in the state, because of its effectiveness in preparing students for the world of work.
